Lorenzo Gerbi is a freelance information designer and event manager. He graduated cum laude in Graphic and Virtual Design at Polytechnic of Turin with the thesis "Facebook and the elderly: an user-friendly interface to improve social inclusion". He studied photography and graphic design at École Supérieure des Arts Saint-Luc de Liège (Belgium) and he's currently attending the Master in Information Design at Design Academy Eindhoven (The Netherlands). He is working as freelance graphic designer for several projects in Netherlands and he's exploring the social function of graphic design together with Gabriela Baka in their STUDIO PROTOCOOLERS (http://protocoolers.tumblr.com/).
He is Assistant to the Director for VIEW Conference and VIEWFest, a conference and festival about Computer Graphics, VFX, Digital Cinema, 3D Animation and Gaming, held every October in Turin (Italy). As information designer, he's interested in the intersection of data and design which is the main topic of his blog Data+Design on Wired Italy website (http://blog.wired.it/datadesign).
